Ersilia M. Browne

Ersilia "Cee" Marie Browne, a resident of Tarrytown for over six decades, died peacefully at the Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY on September 28, 2025, just 22 days shy of what would have been her 95 birthday. She was born in Kokomo, IN on October 20, 1930 and her funeral will occur at the Transfiguration Church where she was a parishioner for many years this Monday on her birthday at 10:30 A.M. Cee's husband, Bernard Augustus Browne, predeceased her, as did a sister, Anna Agnes Pinkowski and her brother, Arnold Anthony Pasquali. Survivors include two sisters, Louise Antoinette Heckman, and Emily Rose Harris, residents of Kokomo, and her children, Kathleen Marie Browne of East Walpole, MA, Brian Charles Browne and his wife, Sharon Marie LeClair, of Portland, ME, William Martin Browne and his wife, Mary Catherine Browne, of Hamptonville, NC and Rosemary Cerbone and her husband, Stephen Cerbone, of Somers, NY and her grandchildren, Christine Anne Hannratty of Canton, MA, Stephen Michael Hanratty of East Walpole, MA, William Martin Browne, Jr. and his wife, Jill Caldwell Browne, of Huntersville, NC, Timothy Connor Browne and his wife, Chelsea Caitlin Browne, of Huntersville, NC, Sarah Nicole Cerbone of New York, NY, Christopher Stephen Cerbone of Philadelphia, PA, Eamon Mackinnon Browne of Portland, ME and her great grandchildren, Braylon William Browne and Presley Mae Browne, both of Huntersville, NC and Camryn Browne and Mia Layne Browne, both of Huntersville, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and extended family in northern Italy. Before marriage, Ersilia worked as a medical assistant in Kokomo. After her marriage, she worked at the Hartford Life Insurance in Hartford, CT and Marymount College and the Warner Library, both located in Tarrytown. She was proud of her family and her other personal accomplishments, including taking up tennis at the age of 40 and golf at the age of 50. She also loved playing bridge and spending time at the beach in NJ, RI and FL. Her wake will occur on Monday, October 20th at 9:00 A.M. - 10:00am at Dwyer and Michaels Funeral Home in Tarrytown, NY with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Transfiguration Church also in Tarrytown. The burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
