Edith I Pagano

November 26, 1930 - May 5, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Edith Pagano, age 91 of Brookfield, Connecticut. She left this earthly life on May 5, 2022 surrounded by her family. Edith was born and raised in the Bronx to immigrant parents Lena and Charles Profetti in 1930. She went on to become a talented artist hand painting china in a professional ceramic studio along with her sister Catherine. At age 19, she met the love of her life, Frank Pagano (deceased) and they were married in 1951. Together they raised four daughters and two grand daughters. Most important in Edith’s life was her family. She was happiest with a house full of people sharing a great meal. She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking and stitchery. She was an animal lover and an avid reader. Later in life she loved going out for an Italian meal with family and friends. In her golden years she moved from Elmsford, NY to Brookfield, CT to live with her granddaughter Ashley and her husband Kyle. She was overjoyed when she became a grandmother and great grandmother and was an active part of their lives up until her passing. She is survived by her children Denise Wheatley (Robert), Donna Tompkins (Barry), Doreen Halsall (Thomas). She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Bell (Thomas). She is survived by her six grandchildren, Cristin Moran, Dana Ferris, Brenton Wheatley, Ashley Schutte-Bell, Alexandra Wheatley, Loren Halsall and six great grandchildren. None of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love- Mother Teresa
